What Are The Early Signs Of Rubella In A Pregnant Female?
hi, my wife is pregnant 16 weeks old right now, and she test her blood during 13 weeks pregnant for Rubella
weeks 13
Anti rubella igg 101 (positive)
Anti rubella igm 1,3 (positive)
and doctor ask us to retest for blood sample after 3 weeks
weeks 16
anti rubella igg 108 (positive)
anti rubella igm 1,3 (positive)
although my wife never had a symptoms for rubella, but he remember she had rash,fever, etc (look like rubella) about 1 year before
our doctor, give us acyclovyr 400mg, 3 tablet x 1 day,
and he said, after 3 weeks again, she should retest the blood test, and if the igm stay or lower, that is mean her pregnancy is okay, please advice

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
You have to understand that there is no effective treatment for rubella in pregnancy.
My suggestion is to terminate the pregnancy as soon as possible.
Because her IgM antibody level for rubella is high and it indicates that she have infected recently.
There is no co-relation between rubella signs and symptoms with antibody titres.
As she got infected in first trimester of pregnancy, the baby may born with multiple defects like cataracts, deafness, and heart, lung and brain abnormalities. and congenital rubella syndrome.
If she continue the pregnancy further, it may end in miscarriage.
It is very dangerous for her beyond this 16 weeks to face miscarriage.
Please consult with your treating gynecologist about termination of pregnancy.
