Dear Mumma,

You are indeed in a very tricky situation. Your experience of two pregnancies tells that you are pregnant. However, your urine pregnancy tests are negative. At this stage of pregnancy, ultrasonography would definitely be conclusive.

Have you missed your periods? More than any other symptoms, missing a period is the cardinal symptom of pregnancy. If you have not missed your period, then all the other symptoms which you feel are due to pregnancy, may be due to some other cause; e.g. movements of the baby you feel may be due to excessive intestinal activity. Foetal movements are not felt at 14 weeks. They are felt after 18 weeks of pregnancy.

By 14-16 weeks, the uterus becomes an abdominal organ and can be palpated by hands. If you can palpate the uterus with your hands, that is quite a point with you to show to your doctor. Ask the doctor what this mass is. The doctor will have to investigate the mass by ultrasonography and you will get the answer.

I hope this suggestion serves the purpose for you.
