What Are The Consequences Of Smoking Weed During Pregnancy?

Hi, i found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks and I was smoking weed before I found out. I quit but then it became an off and on thing and I ll smoke once or twice every blue moon. I did finally stop for good a few days before I hit 6 months pregnant. Is there a chance that the weed can still show up in my baby s system? I did truly stop, but I m hearing they test the baby when they are born. Plz someone provide an accurate answer

Hi,
I understand your concern.
It's good that you had stopped smoking after diagnosing your pregnancy. But you did smoke occasionally till 6 months- baby has received the drug in early months of pregnancy- & this may have some effect on baby's development- I would advise you to be frank to your treating doctor & tell about weed smoking-He may advise few tests to exclude/find any effect on baby- & offer you treatment to overcome it.
When to stop weed smoking completely for 3 months - the testing of baby is not likely to be hazardus for you.Don't worry.
Thanks.
