What Are The Complications From Iv Use Of Meth?

What are the complications from iv use meth? Specifically if the 3 1/2 golf ball size places on my arms from shooting meth. They seem to be on places that I have missed the vein. The are very painfully the first couple of days, then they stay as these risen areas for some time (weeks). They never come to a head and eventually go away. Is there any treatment I can do to make the go away faster or prevent them from forming?

Um... not taking meth?
Certainly boils/infections/abcesses with germs are common from intravenous injection and this would look like an infection with purulence in side of it and redness/warmth/pain/swelling, redness, etc. But there can be swellign without germs. If fluid is put into an area it will swell. The fluid mostly is absorbed as fast or faster than a bruise. Hitting a small blood vessel and having it leak into an area will produce swelling,b but that is what a bruise is, and it will look like a bruise. Meth can cause damage and death of tissue in an area. Mostly this is at the surface and you get something that looks like a very bad very deep burn and with a LOT of scarring. But it can occur a bit deeper in, cause swelling and hurt . a lot. but resolve over weeks. Often with a divot from loss of tissue.
