hello doc , my father met with an accident yesterday , he is 48 years ago and doc suggests him jaw surgery !!!!!! i m vry afraid as he is unable to eat anything since yesterday only juice is given to him through food pipe !!!!!!!!! is there any complications related to jaw surgery ?????????

for any surgery complications will be there like post operative infections, difficulty in opening mouth in your case.
antibiotics will be given to your father which will protect him from infections. it takes some time to open mouth after surgery.
