What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy With No Fallopian Tubes?

Hello doctor,

I had my second tube removed. So, now I have no tubes on either side. My husband and I had sex three week after my surgery. And yes he did ejaculate inside of me. I haven't had a period as of yet. Now base on all science studies. The odd of me being pregnant again is impossible. So how long does it take for me to have a period with no tubes left on either side.

Hello, thanks for writing in to HCM.
The egg meets the sperm and gets fertilized in the tube and travels through it to the uterus for implantation. This is missing with both tubes absent. Hence IVF / assisted fertility treatments are required.

To get normal periods you need a uterus, ovaries(hormones) & pituitary. Tubes do not figure there. Hence you will continue to menstruate, which begin when the hormonal balance is normal.
Hope this is helpful, Do write in if you have any further queries.
Take care.
