What Are The Chances Of Long-term Health Post Colon Cancer Relapse?

Waiting to hear if a friends blood markers are up 1.5 yrs after successfull treatment for stage 3 colon cancer. If so, I guess they look for matastise (sp?). what is likely hood she would have a favorable long-term health outlook if they treat a second colon-cancer related cancer?

Hi

After hearing your history if the cancer has spread to liver and other organs then second line chemotherapy is the treatment option along with palliative care.

By palliative it means supporting care to reduce the symptoms he is having.
Average life span for such patients is around 3 to 5 years.

Regards
Dr DE
