What Are The Chances Of Increasing Height After 16 Years Of Age?

hello I am 16 year old but since 14 my height is not increasing. My father was also a short heighted man . He was 5 3 or 5 4 .is this because of heredity or there are chances for me to increase height .Now my height is 5 5.what nutrition are needed for me and in what quantity. Please send me a chart of balanced diet for me if possible.

Hi welcome to healthcare magic forum,

You need not to worry at present because still there is chance of your height to increase because your bony epiphysis has still not fused as you are 16 years, hereditary factor is there but still you will gain height if there is no other body problem or disease, you have to follow some instructions, which I will suggest you,secondly don't get fooled by advertisements regarding medicine available for increasing height, take care of few thing like:-

1 Daily exercise aerobics no weight lifting,
2 Balanced nutritious diet,
3 Vitamins and minerals,
4 Avoid smoking and alcohol,
5 Drink daily 3-4 liters of water,
6 Take more of salads,fruits,nuts,milk,eggs,green leafy vegetable in your diet.
