What Are The Chances Of Getting Vilitigo Or Diabetes By Pricking Needle Injection?

My mother is diabetic as well suffers from vilitigo, last night i gave her insulin, while throwing the injection i accidentally got in touch with needle used by mom in my thumb but no blood comes out. Is there any chance to get infected with vilitigo or diabetes? Please mail me ur account number so that i would b able to deposit ur fees in it, i have neither bank account nor credit card. I m just a student. Pls help dr. Regards.

Hi, diabetes and vitiligo is not something which is transmitted through blood contamination. So there is no chances for you to get these, however you need to take precaution always when disposing off the injection needle. Since your mother is diabetic, may be genetically you are prone to develop diabetes in long run, not sure. Better to keep monitoring your blood sugar level.
