What Are The Chances Of Getting Pregnant Without Penetration?
My boyfriend and I had protected sex around January 22, but at one point before ejaculation he put it in me for just a few seconds and it was only the tip. I have been on nuvaring for about 15 months and after 3 weeks on it, I put a new one in as my gyno told me I could so I wouldn t have periods anymore. I took out my old ring and inserted a new ring on January 17. On Friday, I had increased vaginal discharge on Friday and today I am barely bleeding which is rare for me. My breasts are not tender and I have no other symptoms. Do you think I could pregnant?
Hello, Additional protection is needed until the ring has been continuously in place for seven days. Since you had unprotected intercourse during this phase, there are some chances of conception. It is not needed for complete penetration and ejaculation to occur; even the pre-ejaculate contains enough sperm to cause conception if this happens during the ovulation phase. Though your symptoms are non-specific, please get a blood test for pregnancy done to clarify the situation. Hope this helps.
