Hi doctor I had a sex with my bf without protection but we cnt do properly so he takes out nd sperms hvnt come bt just bcoz of fear i took an ipill the very next day nd thn after 6 days i had a bleeding on 28th aug. just like in nrml days bt nw my periods hvnt come i test my pregnancy at home by prega news 3 times it came negative nd today it is 11 oct bt i hvnt got my period yet plssss help me isssss m pregnant?? Or there is need to worry

Thanks for writing to us.

You did unprotected sex during safe period, using withdrawal method and she took I-pill on the next day. It gives more than 95% protection against unwanted pregnancy. Here, chance of pregnancy is extremely RARE.

You got withdrawal bleeding on 28th Aug due to effect of I-pill and it is quite common phenomena. However, next period may be delayed for 1-2 weeks or more due to hormonal imbalance and stress.

As she gets negative test result, then I suggest her to await another 1 week to get back period naturally. If she doesn't get it by this time, she may need to take progesterone pill to induce period.

Be stress free. Maintain genital hygiene. Practice safe sex. Good luck.
