What Are The Chances Of Contracting Tetanus From Intercourse?

hello, my boyfriend was just diagnosed with Tetanus and we are sexual ative regularly. I was wondering if I could contract Tetanus thru his sperm. We usually use protection, but lately do not with oral sex. My troat is so swollen and it is difficult to swallow the past couple of days and I wanna be sure I didn't contract Tetanus, and it's only my horrible tonsils that need to be removed acting up.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Tetanus is not considered a sexually transmitted infection. It is not transmitted from one person to the next.

This infection occurs when a wound comes into contact with dirt or other debris with this bacteria.

Your sore throat is likely due to common viral (common cold) or bacterial infection.

I hope this helps
