What Are The Causes And Remedies For Fever With Urine And Blood Infection In An Infant ?

Hi Doctor , My Baby Girl is 6+ Months old and now she is suffering from Fever and now found she has blood infection and pus cell (15-20)in urine. Her Haemoglobin is 8.60 gm/dl and Total Leucocytic count (TLC) 1400 /cumm. what can be cause and how she will be ok Regards Joy Banerjee joybanerjee81@yahoo.com

Hello.

Your daughter is having a urine infection due to which her TLC is raised and she is having fever. She has to take a broad spectrum antiobiotic to control the infection. Also, her haemoglobin is very low. Put her on regular iron supplments with a high protein diet for at least six months.
