What Are The Best Possible Treatments For Deviated Esophage ?

I have had esophageal dysphagia for many years. Mu gastroenterologist did a gastroscopy. he said that I had a deviated esophage and left...... I am in Canada and would want further treatment because this probably is the cause of constant burping even after a glass of water.... Some nausea, never hungry, feeling bloated, stomach pain. Clearing of throat+++. sometimes heartburn. Eat very little.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. Do you mean your Gatroenterologist went away without advising you treatment ? There is nothing like a diagnosis of deviated esophagus unless and until there is some other problem in chest, heart , may be a lymph-node in chest or so. It is better to undergo another endoscopy and may be a barium swallow and CT Scan of chest. In the mean time continue with medicines like ranitidine, reglan or domperidone and antacid gels 3 teaspoon every three hours. No spicy / oily foods or anything that increases your problem. Lie in reclining position as much as possible. Go for a walk after food .
