Hi, thanks for using Healthcare Magic.

Ketamine is one of the anesthetics used for humans. Ketamine can also act as a painkiller.

Ketamine is available as a prescription drug in liquid form and powder.

These drugs are mostly given intravenously to relieve pain and discomfort immediately, especially in cases of cancer and nervous system disorders.

Ketamine can also be used for depression as it provides a soothing effect.

The various conditions that are effectively treated with the help of ketamine are bronchitis, asthma, bronchospasms (where the respiratory tract muscles narrow abnormally, causing breathing difficulties), and anaphylaxis.

Although there are a number of benefits of using ketamine as a pain killer as well as providing relief to various diseases, there are also some side effects to watch out for.

Below are some of the side effects of ketamine on the body and brain.
1. Ketamine belongs to the hallucinogenic group that can affect the brain abnormally. Overuse of these drugs causes hallucinations in people who use them. A person also has the potential to experience mood swings such as being irritable to depression.
2. Ketamine can have toxic effects on human body systems, especially heart, liver, and kidney. These toxins will accumulate in the vital organs and slowly aggravate the condition of the organ.
3. Long-term use of ketamine can cause brain physiological disorders and destroy nerve cells. This condition may affect memory capacity, loss of motor coordination, etc.
4. Individuals who use ketamine in the long term are potentially addicted. If left unchecked, this condition can be fatal.
5. Other side effects of ketamine include triggering high blood pressure, amnesia, delirium, and respiratory problems.

To avoid the negative effects of ketamine on physical and psychological health, you should consult to a psychiatrist regarding the appropriate dose of use.

Take care.
