What are the after effects of prolonged use of zinc sulfate?

Hi, my mother suggested I use Zinc Sulfate as a dietary supplement, but upon some mild research I did (and am still doing) I read that prolonged use can result in a copper deficiency. Is this true, and if so is there an additionaly supplement I could take or maybe a way to keep my dosage of Zinc Sulfate to a level where I would not develop a copper deficiency?

Routine dose does not cause such problems.

You can use multivitamin supplements like supradyn instead of zinc alone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
