What Are The Adverse Effects Of High Potassium Levels In The Body?

I just got told I have high levels of potassium and was directed to not drink Gatorade and OJ. The reason I was having blood work is because I am having my first colonoscopy due to having ongoing stomach issues. What happens to your body when you have high levels of potassium.
