What Are Symptoms Of Syphilis?

Hi, so have an embarrassing question to ask. Am in two year monogamous relationship and had extreme pain in lymph nodes in groin area. A few days later saw red bump on public mound, did a ton of research and decided it was an ingrown hair. Lymph nodes continued to be very painful. Red bump did not go away. Went to health clinic and was told it was an ingrown hair but they took bloods to test for herpes and syphilis (said was very unlikely was syphilis) Herpes came back negative and turns out they never tested for syphilis. As mentioned above in monogamous relationship for two years. The bump became really sore and eventually eased when blood and pus was released. It had almost like two heads and acted bit like a pimple. Am on roaccutane (for two months now) with very clear skin so really don t think it s a pimple. This all probably started about six weeks ago. Bump has not totally gone away and still appears to have a head. Not sure if hair has been released if was infact ingrown. This past Thursday I noticed what I thought was an itchy bite on my foot but later turned out to be quite a few small red spots of my body (mainly feet, some up legs and a few on torso) followed by a cluster of bumps which looked a little like pimples on by back (not itchy) which responded well to E45 cream and cluster of bumps by my ankle which are incredibly itchy and not responding at all the E45 cream. Infact have become more itchy. Is there any chance this is syphilis or am I just suffering from side effects of roaccutane?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Syphilis may present with symptoms or without any symptoms (Latency).
Symptoms of Syphilis have a large variety. A hard ulcer over the infected site manifests as with primary syphilis. In secondary stage and tertiary stage it would be variable. Lymph nodes will be present but always it would be painless. Your problem seems to be not related to Syphilis.
Simple serological test will reveal or rule out Syphilis.
