What Are Side Effects Of Shingles Shot (if Any)?

I had a shingles shot on 1/7/14. The soreness and slight rash has diminished. Lat night I had a headache. This morning I woke up with the same headache and I am dizzy. Is this a side affect and how long will it last? And what can I do about it? Thank you, Donna Means

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Some of the side effects of the shingles shot are:
injection site reactions (redness, itching, swelling, warmth, bruising, and pain),
headache,
diarrhea,
joint or muscle pain, or
skin rash.

You may use anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen in case of side effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
