What Are Recurring Discomfort In Chest, Lightheadedness And Fatigue Suggestive Of?

Can a woman have a small heart attack and not have any obvious damage? Twice I have experienced discomfort in my chest along wilh being light headed, no energy, and the feeling if I don t lay down, I will pass out. This will last about 5 minutes then disappear. I have had tightness in my chest and middle back for about a year, always tired with little energy for me. I still push myself to stay active but this is not like me. I have talked with my doctor but she dismissed it as miner age related pain. I am 58, non smoker, in excellent heath otherwise. I do have a family history of heart problems.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this chest discomfort during physical activity may be related to angina it heart pain. It happens during physical activity or white climbing the stairs. I think you should visit a cardiologist and do a stress test. This may prevent a heart attack in future. Probably you are having just angina not a heart attack.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
