What Are Persistent Abdominal Pain And Extreme Bloating Suggestive Of?

Hi, for 9 years i have been in a lot of pain in my side. i have been diagnosed with endometriosis and also just finished 6 iron infusions because my levels were low along with folic acid and b12. now i am going for an endoscopy, then i have to go to a gynocologist. Can you give any clues as to what this might be. i also bloat a lot after eating only a little to the point people think i am pregnant. i have also had atypical cells in my pap smear 5 years ago. Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be gastritis. As first-line management, you can take antacids like pantoprazole for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
