Amenorrhoea may be primary or secondary.
Primary amenorrhoea may be due to uterine agenesis, imperforate hymen, hormonal disorders involving hypothalamus, thalamus, pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, ovary and of course not forgetting pregnancy.
Similarly secondary amenorrhoea also has a number of causes, including hysterectomy.
