What Are Lesions In Liver Post Removal Of Tumor In Pancrea Indicative Of?

My husband had the whipple surgery 5 yrs ago to remove a cancerous tumor in his pancreas. He took oxicodone for pain and still does. Three months after his surgery he went through three rounds of traditional chemotherapy. Ten months after his surgery scans shows lesions in his liver. Medical people report these lesions in his liver as a matastisized cancer. I don t think he has cancer in his liver. What do you think?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Lesions in liver post whipple surgery for pancreatic cancer could be due to metastatic cancer deposits in liver.
I suggest you to consult your treating doctor for clinical assessment and relevant investigations.
Investigations like aspiration cytology of these liver lesions is required to find out the cause of these lesions.
In case these lesions turn out to be metastatic deposits, appropriate treatment in the form of chemotherapy may be required.
Whether surgical removal of these lesions is possible or not will depend on the number and extent of these lesions.

Thanks and take care
