What Are Elevated Liver Enzymes In A Child Suggestive Of?

My grandson complained of stomach pain, leg pain, and looked very pale, but blood work came back normal except for elevated liver enzyme. The doctor didn t seem to be concerned but my daughter fears there could be a tumor or some other unknown underlying cause. Is there reason for concern or is it possible that the raised liver enzymes were from a virus. He had stomach pains for about three days and didn t eat or drink very much during that time, however he seems to be on the mend now.

hi, welcome to health care magic,
don't worry your grand son is not suffering from any tumor,
the liver enzymes might be raised due to the unnoticed mild infections which your grandson might be suffered from, its only a temporary status i'll be back by itself only in few days, according to me he would have underwent a period of infection ie. suffering stomach ache ad leg pain.
take care.
