hi,

The disc lesion is problem with intervertibral disk-which acts as shock absorber.

-It may result in spondilitis. common causes are- disk prolapse pertaining to trauma,certain diseases like t.b.,due to old age etc.

-the prolapsed intervertibral disc presses on delicate spinal cord,nerves causing back ache,other pressure symtoms

-releif may be by medications/traction/operation.
