What Are Causes & Treatment For Blockage In Esophagus With Chest?

I have had a feeling of a blockage in my esphagus (sp?) and chest area for a few weeks now. I am currently taking Champix to quit smoking and don't know if that is related. Sometimes I have to stop eating and slowly take little sips of water in order for the food to pass

HI.
This mat be due to a real organic obstruction or due to motility disorder of the esophagus.

You have to undergo a proper clinical examination to be done by a Doctor who can catch many of the problems on your proper history and physical examination and can then guide for further investigations and treatment.

Please visit a Gastroenterologist as the patient needs an upper GI endoscopy, barium studies if required / CT chest if cancer is suspected.

Do not waste time in getting investigated , to get a proper timely treatment.
