What Aggravates Rashes On Foot After Using Steroid Cream?

I have had fungal infections on my feet for the last 30 years which have been kept under control by terbinafine anti fungal cream but that has not been working recently so my doctor prescribed a steroid cream which has made the rash much worse and very red. However it is not sore and does not itch although it feels a bit hot. I stopped using the steroid cream two days ago. Should I just leave it alone for a few days. My next appointment with my doctor is not until 13 June.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. If the problem you are having is fungal infection then using corticosteroid cream alone can worsen it. Usually corticosteroid is used along with strong anti fungal agents. If for fungal infections on foot topical anti fungals are not helping then oral anti fungal agents are used. Oral Terbinafine or Griseofulvin is given for this. You can consult a Dermatologist for this.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
