Went through gall stone removal. Stopped drinking alcohol. What can cause of having heart murmur?

Hi, My name is Fizal Shah. I am from Mumbai. My Uncle is on your medication since last 15 years. Right now he went through stone operation and removal of gall bladder in Mumbai. My Uncle name is Pramod Shah. He has a habit of drinking. Since last 10 days he has stopped drinking. Now he has started murmuring.. Pl advise what to do.

From the limited information which you have provided, your uncle may be having symptoms related to alcohol withdrawal. Suddenly stopping alcohol can result in withdrawal symptoms which can include tremors, increased sweating, palpitation, sleep disturbance, etc. and sometimes even psychiatric problems like seeing or talking to non-existent things, talking or murmuring to self, etc. I would advise you to take him to a psychiatrist for further evaluation and treatment. There are effective medication which can control these withdrawal related effects and control his psychiatric symptoms also.
