Weight Gain To Irregular Work Shifts. Negative Thyroid Test. Help

I m 26 yr old male. I work for a BPO and does very irregular shifts. Due to this reason, the complete diet of mine got altered which resulted in excessive weight gain. I am 5'11 and I weigh 129 kilos. I have tried everything from medicines to diet and exercise. I tend to loose weight quickly and gain the same weight back following the same routine. I did get my thyroid tested and tested negative for it. My father is little obese. Please help me.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Alot of persons who lose weight find it difficult to keep it off.

There is a national registry in the US called the national weight loss registry that looks at the features shared by persons who are able to keep the weight off.
They have found : (1) most continue their dietary changes long term
(2) 78% eat breakfast daily
(3)75 % weigh themselves once a week
(4)62% watch less than 10 hours of tv or screen time a week
(5)90% exercise at least 1 hour a day

If you can lose the weight again either using the low fat/low calorie diet or the low carbohydrate diet, employing the above methods would help you to keep it off.
You may want to consider enlisting the help of a bariatrician (weight loss doctor)

I hope this helps
