Was The Demise Due To Schizophrenic Symptoms With Depression, Anger And Violence?

I am trying to understand my mother who died many years ago. She was very troubled. Some of her symptoms resemble schizophrenia but she also was depressed, very angry and violent. After her violent episodes, she would go catatonic and my "job" was to bring her back to reality. I have asked relatives close to her, but they did not want to talk about it. Thanks.
