Hi,
Welcome to HCM,

I went through the details submitted. You reported that you had a nail scratch by dog and the dog is not vaccinated,
As rabies has no cure,
it is advisable to go for vaccination for any suspicious exposure.
Usually it is bite and exposure to saliva which transmits virus.
albeit chances of rabies very very negligible, through scratch wounds.
However in your case, I would suggest you to take post exposure vaccination at the earliest - active vaccination with HDCV on day 0.3,7,14 and 28.
You can observe the dog if dog is healthy 3 doses are sufficient.
These new vaccine are very safe do not worry at all.
Take care
Good Luck

Hi
Thanks for your query.
Rabies is a fatal disease so no chance can be taken.
I suggest you to get yourself vaccinated as per schedule that is day 0,3,7,14 and 28.
Observe dog for 10 days and if it remains healthy you can skip last two doses after discussion with your doctor.
relax,rabies vaccine is completely safe.

Wishing you good health.
God bless..
