Was In ER With Severe Chest Pain. Had A Blood Clot In Heart. When Checked Could Not Find Any Clots. Clot Dissolved?

In November, 2011, I was in the ER with severe chest pain and intense sqeezing of my heart. Looking back, it felt as though I had a blood clot work its way through my heart, but when I was evaluated this past september, the dr.'s could not find any clots. Is it possible that the clot dissolved, after going througgh my heart?

Yes it could be. When you were admitted in ER for your chest pain, they will give you anti clotting, anti platelet drugs in order to make your blood thinner and not to have tendency to clot again. you might have been on follow up treatment with the same after you got discharged. You should be on long term treatment with these drugs as a prophylaxis. In some cases if the clot is big enough,we use clot busters to literally burst away the clot. I suggest you to go through a Cardiology consultation, they might suggest a Treadmill test and some times an Angiography in order to find out any hidden clot. Go get yourself checked, and ensure yourself.
