Wanting A Second Baby. Taking Gulf Ferrous And Folic Acid. What Else Can Be Done To Improve The Chances?
Hi, I'm 37 and struggling to conceive for the second baby for almost 1year couple months and the first one is 8 turning 9 in January. Presently I'm taking Gulf Ferrous and Folic acid to boost my chances is it ok to take them and what more can I do because I went to 2 different Gaenes and they said no probleems for both of us
Hello and welcome to HCM, There seem to be no problem in conception in your case. You have conceived once thus next conception can take place without any problem. Ferrous is taken to maintain the hemoglobin levels during pregnancy which tends to fall down during this period. Folic acid is taken to prevent neural tube defects in the baby. These preparations have nothing to do with conception. However, as the maternal and paternal age increases, fertility decreases. You can increase the possibility of conception by tracking the time of ovulation. Basal body temperature, and examination of cervical mucus can be used to time the ovulation.
