Vomiting, achy body, unable to keep food or water down
My girl friend is very sick at the moment. Last night she woke up very late and threw up a fair amount of blood . Since she has not thrown up any more blood but she cannot keep down any food or water. We went to 2 different doctors today and they both said she is fine. I asked them to draw blood and send it to the lab to get analysed yet the results wont come back for a little over a week. She is 18 years old about 120 LBS and works almost every day so she is in very fair shape. She says she is very achy and that she is also very hot right now. There is no chance of her being pregnant as we have not been sexually active and I know she has not been with anyone else. If anyone has any suggestions or even think they may know what it is so that the next time we go to the doctors I can ask them to check for it please respond. She is very scared right now she says this is the worst she has ever felt in her entire life.
welcome to healthcare magic.
The most common cause of blood in vomiting is gastric ulcer, swelling of GI tract or swollen veins due to liver damage.
Let the blood report come to lighten the picture. Then you might need other tests.
Does she have any gastric problems earlier?Does she smoke or take alcohol? What color was the blood? (Bright red or like coffee grounds?)Any medicine she used tio take?
Wish her good health.
She drinks a ittle bit not a crazy amount she doesn't smoke. The blood that came up was fresh blood very red.She says she doesn't have any earlier Gastric problems. She stayed in the bathroom all night last night and this morning she says she is finally not dizzy and she is able to walk around but her entire body still aches very bad. She is on no meds currently or whiten the last month.
I became ill Thursday afternoon with vomiting, cold chills, achy body. The episode lasted approximately 12 hours. Then my wife became ill, followed by my daughter (all on Thursday). My son felt somewhat ill but, did not get full blown symptoms until Saturday evening. I am trying to trace back what we had in common and I am narrowing down to Tuesday of that week when we spent the day across the border in Baja California. Can I suspect food borne illness with that time frame?
So I am 22 Years old and a male, I work out 2-3 hours a day regularly for the past 3 years or so. Recently over the past 2 weeks or so I have been getting daily severe headaches and get really nauseous. On several occassions like right now I get really dizzy and have no energy... Just doing routine activities like walking around the house gets me winded and my heart rate up and I have to lie down.
I have had very bad diarrhea since 3 pm yesterday. No food left in my body. I am sipping water. I then took a Buscopan at 4 today and some re-hydration fluids and immediately started throwing up. Hot, achy body with distended stomach. My doctor has prescribed Zofer 4 ml, Kantexil and Pantoloc 40ml. My liver hurts and I have a history of being allergic too antibiotics = Ciprobay (Ciplox) Erythomycin and tetracycline but not Penicillin - due to previous bouts of food poisoning like campilerbacter. So I am cautious about taking any drugs and need to know if these can cause long term damage like the Ciprobay did. I am 65 and fit but in the food business so this is part life for me. We think it was from country eggs as this was the only thing my husband did not eat yesterday morning. Instructed to do nil by mouth till tomorrow with just sips of water.

I had a gastroscopy and a colonoscopy done and the specialist said that my stomach takes a long time to process the foods i have eaten. When I have dairy products, pies, popcorn my tummy bloats and i experience pain. I have been diagnosed wth Hashimoto's thyriditis. Are these connected?
What can I take to prevent gassiness, bloating, cramps
Hi! I am a 31-year-old female. I have had stomach issues for over a year. I am supposed to go for a gastroscopy in the near future. I have a stomach that pulsates and feels hard, right above my navel. I have been off and on on Pariet and Nexium. As soon as I go off I get these symptoms back. I don't have hearburn. I have been tested for H. pylori which was negative. It sometimes takes my breath away and I feel nauseous with it. Any ideas?
