Vision Blacking Out, Shaky Hands, Blood Pressure Dropping, Knee Pain When Bending, Joint Pain. Help

I m very scared. For awhile now, upon standing my vision blacks out. I will either get through it no problem or lose my balance and fall. I know it s a drop of blood pressure , and I don t quite remember the name, but it s causing problems. In addition to this, I also have shaky hands. I have also lost 65 lbs. in the last 7-8 months. That was from healthy eating and good exercise though. Another big concern is achy joints. My knees hurt when I bend them all the way. This never happened before. I m a 16 almost 17 year old male. Please help me I m worried.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your query.

First, i would like to mention that you have lost lot of weight, too quickly, Ideally weight reduction, has to be done in a prolonged period of time. Sudden weight loss leads to weakness along with vitamins and minerals deficiency.

Anaemai(iron deficiency) and low blood pressure both lead to weakness, shaky hands along with black out while standing up.
Joint pains may have developed due to calcium deficiency/D3 deficiency.

I would recommend you to visit your physician for the following:
-complete blood count for determining Hb and iron deficiency
-serum calcium levels
-vit D3 estimation

Meanwhile, eat fresh fruits especially one high in iron content ex: apples, green leafy vegetables (spinach), pulses, eggs, milk and milk products(to counteract calcium deficiency).

Regards
