Viral Infection, Cough, Blocked Sinuses, Recurring Fever, Orange Watery Nasal Discharge. Cure?

Hi I am ill with a viral infection I have had for a week. The dr told me to rest. I have a violent cough and sinus s are all blocked plus a fever on and off. Today, a week on and on no medication my nose started dripping heavily. It was from one nostril only and it was an orange watery substance that I am keen to understand what it is!!?? Should I go back to my Dr?

HI I have gone through your mail and as you said that you are having viral fever for last one week and along with fever you are feeling as your sinuses are blocked and now you have pinkish watery discharge from one nose. After considering all about your complaints I would like to tell you that in viral infection of nose usually discharge comes from both nostril on the other hand if watery pinkish fluid is coming out from only one nostril this indicates something wrong in one nostril and it may be due to polyp / growth / acute maxillary or ethmoidal sinusitis of one side /c.s.f. rhinorrhea . So you please contact E.N.T.specialist for your physical examination of nose to find out some local abnormality of nasal cavity because without physical examination final diagnosis can't be made. Thanks.
