Why Is There Tenderness Where The Achilles Tendon Meets The Heel Bone?
Very tender where Achilles’ tendon meets heel bone. Can’t push toe down to walk. No bruising. Somewhat swollen. Does not hurt when sitting. Did not feel a trauma just started to get sore. Did go up and down ladder many times one day and could hardly walk the next day. Is it possible to slightly detach tendon from bone. Should l see someone or try to stay off it as much as l can. Have been icing it and soaking it in hot water

It seems that it's inflammation at insertion point of Achilles tendon. I advise you to take bed rest and Apply Volini gel followed by crepe bandage for 4-5 days if not relieved, contact your doctor.

It seems like problem with your footwear. Do not wear heels and do stretching exercises. You can take anti-inflammatory medicines if the problem occurs sometimes or you need to consult good orthopedic surgeon if problem is persistent since long. Specify your age and gender while raising a question.
