Very High Levels Of Blood Pressure. Taking Lisinopril. Reason For Fluctuation?
Over the pass 2-4 days my bp has gone from normal for me which is 135/88 to 220/145. I do have many stresses like my child a wounded va who i am caring for 24/7.. After a trip to the ER nitric had no effect, left the hospital after 9 hours with the same bp 220/145. The reason I left due to neglect of the hospital staff. Called my primary set an appointment for two hours later.
Went home to sleep for 2-3hours went to dr office bp was normal again 138/89. Dr gave a script for 10 linsinopril with 12.5 hydro.
Returned home slept for 8 hours checked bp before taking linsinopril during the entire day and night after dr visit my bp was 115/72 to 128/88. Spoke with dr he advised taking half. I did.
Now I'm baffled because I took half went to bed woke up at 4 am to check on my children and my bp is 155/ 107.
I have an Eco for Tuesday .
. 1 could any other underlying illness cause such ranges in bp.
What could cause suck fluctuations in bp.

Fluctuations in BP are large part dependent upon the physical and mental activity you are doing. This includes stress also. The more stressed you are higher the BP will be. the more physical work you do , higher BP will be. That odes not mean poor control.
Please check your BP only when you are relaxed and have not taken coffee/ smoked in last 1 hour. Try to take BP at nearly same time in the day.
Let the drug do its work. Do not fiddle in dosage by repeated checking at odd times. Dosage should be changed only when there are troubling symptoms. Other important causes for fluctuation are alcoholism and neuropathies.
