Hello ma'am.

From your query, along with the unpleasant odour the sores are what raises concern. This could also be a sexually transmitted infection, which can be transmitted to your child during the process of birth. This is why it is absolutely mandatory for you to put aside your shame (as there is nothing to be ashamed about) and reach out to your doctor for medical assistance. A physical examination, urine examination, vaginal swab test and pap smear might all be required in your case.

Yes the infection could very well be the cause for the unpleasant odour, but it is best to confirm the cause using laboratory investigations.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
