Using Glasses Regularly, Sudden Increase In Cylindrical Power. How To Prevent It ?

hello doc, I m 23yrs old and i m using glasses regularly from the past 11yrs my power in the right eye is -2.25spherical, -1.5cylindrical, axis 10and in the left is -1.5spherical, -1.5 cylindrical axis 180 and my cylindrical power has suddenly increased to -3 now in a period of just 1yr. how serious is my problem and how can i prevent my power from increasing more in the future?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
You are having Myopia and Astimatism for which you are wearing lenses with cylindrical power.
This is because of shape of eyeball and error in optical system of eye.
You can continue to use glasses with opthalmological check up twice a year.
You also have choice to use contact lenses and later on once your power is not changing you can go for correctve surgery that is LASIK Laser surgery.
In the mean time take care of your general health take balanced diet and play some sport and if student pay attention to your studies.
