Used Trifluoperazine, Prodep, Stopped Without Consulting. Any Side Effects Of Withdrawal ?

My husband is 37 years old, weighed 67 KGs, Height 5 Feet 5 inches. He is using Prodep 20 as anti depressant for almost 15 years. He has recently stopped taking the medicine abruptly without consulting with his doctor. He also used to take Trifluoperazine 1
mg along. Which has been stopped too. Please tell me what could be the sideffects of withdrawal? He is feeling tired, weak, dizzy and drowsy. Sometimes depressed and nervous too. Please help me out by replying. Thanks. Best Regards, AAAA

Your husband should not abruptly stop taking antidepressant drug as it may cause withdrawal features as well as relapse of illness.

Current symptoms of your husband might be due to
- Relapse of illness
- Withdrawal features.

You should take him to his psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and management.

Doctor may advise you to restart medication.
