Underwent Open Heart Surgery. Low Blood Flow In Heart. What Is Success Ratio Of Surgery?

Hello Dr, my mother 64yrs old has undergone open heart surgery last year July. she is taking her regular medicine and diet. Recently we took TMT for her, in that she unable to walk fast and she walked only 3 min as she cannot breath properly she stopped. the TMT test doctor said even after surgery there is low blood flow in her heart. i would like to understand the success ratio of the surgery and remedies to make her better. suggestion please

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
You have not clearly mentioned the diagnosis and what operation was done.
From your history I understand that she is having ischemic heart disease.
Probably she had CABG done.
usually the operation is successful. With regular follow up and complying with medications people survive fairly well.
Some times there may be re stenosis which may require a stent or a reoperation.
Success rate is about 95%
CABG is better for triple vessel disease and PTCA is better for single vessel disease.
