Unconsciousness, Seizures, Behavioral Problems. Taking Celebrex And Addicted. Reason?

Stuck on Celebrex 200mg/day for life. Prescribed it to me back in 2001-2007. Ended up off of it somehow in 2007 and widespread muscle/bone pain head//stomach/ unconciousness/seizures/behavioral problems etc . almost died. Ended up back on it beginning of this year and took time to get my memory back and so on, and i have to take every single day or it will make me have chronic pain /mood disorder. Bowels are all messed up as past few yrs could only lay/sit there in and out of conciousness along with all other symptoms.... Why did this medication do this to me? I dont understand? Doc at emerg gave me naproxen as i was vomiting /neasuated and seems that it is the only thing helping me not to vomit.... Trying to get rid of the rest of the stool stuck in my stomach as tried different things to empty it and seems to only get at half of it yet they did x-rays at the hospital few times over stating no blockage. Trying Clear Lax now, along with the Naproxen so i dont vomit. If i dont take it every day, will start getting forgetful/exhaustion./chronic pain

Hi and thanks for the query,

I strongly think you deserve a clinical evaluation. The back pain deserves an in depth look with x rays , CT scan and an MRI. An exact diagnosis could be helpful. The opinion of a neurologist or an epileptologist could be useful to evaluate , characterize and treat epilepsy. An electroencephalogramme coupled with a good clinical evaluation is very important. I suggest a screen for blood Calcium, Magnesium, Serum Alkaline Phosphatase levels and blood vitamin D levels.

Consulting an internist for a start for a complete clinical evaluation and treatment, or orientation to appropriate specialists could help. Thanks and hope this helps.
