Unbearable Pain After Stepping On Splinter, Hardly Able To Walk. What Should I Do ?

I stepped on what I thought was a splinter Sunday night. I walked Monday morning and I still felt pain. Monday night I tried to dig it out and saw a small hole where I thought it was. After numerous tries nothing but the pain was unbearable and I could hardly walk. Tuesday morning I squeezed it and a small shiver of glass came out. I have only been able to limp since. What should I do?

hi welcome to HCM
any penetrating injury should immediately cleaned with soap and water,
remove any materials or particles inside using sterile needles,
take tetanus toxoid vaccine,
use antibiotics and pain killers if injury is deep or
penetrating article is metal or in mud,to avoid sepsis or infection
consult a dr..immediately and follow the treatment
bye take care
