Ultrasound Shows Gestational Sac With Fetal Pole But Viability Could Not Be Established. Have Bleeding. What To Do?

My Wife Last Menstrual Period was 5th-June-2012. Urine test confirmed that she is pregnant now. She took a Ultra Sound test on 5th-Aug-2012 and report says that Single intrauterine gestational sac seen with a fetal pole within, but viability could not be established. Collection seen . Our Doctor advised us to re-do the USG test again on 16th-Aug-2012. But In mean while small qty of blood bleeding is being occurred since last few days. Please advice urgently what to do?

hi,
according to her last menstrual period (if dates are correct and she had at least three regular periods previously), the gestational age should be around 8 weeks,
by this time the heart beat of the fetus will be usually noticed,
anyhow as at present she is having bleeding let her consult gynecologist as early as possible and take medication like progesterone injection or tablets for preventing the bleeding and can go for ultrasound now as 10 days over from prior scan, which will find out the present baby status and you can proceed accordingly.
