Ulcers In My Mouth. Swelling And White Line In The Cheeks, Pain In The Ear, Blocked Ears. Reason?
Hello I have several ulcers in my mouth. The most painful is under my tounge. My cheeks keep swelling and I have a white line on the inside of my cheek. I also have ear ache and they feel blocked. I think my glands may be swollen. I have visited dentists and been advised that I have no infection in my teeth . Any advice would be gratefully received
First of all, oral ulcers could be a symptom and not just the main problem. The most common one encountered is a vitamin deficiency (Folic acid and Vit B12).
The above mentioned vitamins are found to be deficient either in the diet or in alcoholics (most commonly).
You could discuss this with your doctor and a course of vitamin supplements could thus help in curing your ulcers.
Next, we shall discuss your ear problems. Since when have you been experiencing the above symptoms?
Do you live in a cold climate? Have you inserted any foreign object inside your ear? Have you gone for a swim lately? Which glands do you feel are swollen? Is it your throat (tonsils)? If there exists an infection, this can be treated with the help of antibiotics.
An ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist would be able to examine the internal ear well enough to establish a diagnosis, and thus I advice you to schedule an appointment with one at the earliest.
I hope I have succeeded in answering your questions, you could write back to us anytime for further clarifications.
