UTI. Using Azogen. Is That Safe?
my friend is using azogen for a uti. Isn't it true that certain bacteria will not be sensitive to azogen. In other words, some bacteria may be sensitive to azogen but not all. My nurse friend said that a lab has to be performed on a urine sample to determine the appropriate antibiotic for the bacteria. Is this correct?

Azogen is one of the drugs used to treat UTI.
The doctor who has prescribed the same would have explained the sideeffects. Allergic sideeffects are more common.
Your nurse friend is right, that a culture sensitivity of urine sample is preferred to find out which bacteria has caused the UTI and which antibiotic is best to be used.

Azogen is a good antibiotic which acts on many bacteria which cause UTI.
Your nurse friend told correct.
Urine has to be sent for Culture and sensitivity ,where we can know the bacteria and the correct antibiotic which destroys the bacteria.
So,get it done and use appropriate antibiotic.
