Hello and welcome to HCM,
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
I understand your concern. Reversal of tubectomy is possible. However the
pregnancy rates after reversal are not 100% and sometimes the tubes may get blocked also.
You will have to visit a gynecologist who performs such procedure at your place. An
HSG will be done to determine the level of block. A surgery by open method or
laparoscopy will be undertaken and the final decision if it is possible to operate or not will be taken only at the time of surgery even if the initial tests do not reveal any contraindication to surgery.
Sometimes if the
tubal ligation has been done by certain methods like Uchida etc, reversal is not possible. So discuss all this with your doctor as well as success rate and possibility of an ectopic pregnancy after reversal before undertaking the surgery.
Hope this was helpful.
Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
