Trying to conceive. Light period, dark brown. Suggest?

Hi im mariah taylor and im 24 years old with 2 handsome sons they are 4 and 5 years old and my cycle was 39 days late but when my cycle finally came on it was light pinkish the first day and second day but after the 2 days my cycle go darker and darker but it dont smell like a period and i didnt cramp like i would on my nomal cycle its like a dark brown maroon looking color but me and my boy friend have been trying to have another baby can one of you nice wonderful doctors please help me please

There could be many possibilities for this kind of bleeding.
Firstly, as your period was late, and then scanty and abnormal, it could be indicative of an early pregnancy, a failed pregnancy or an ectopic pregnancy.
Apart from that, thyroid disorders, high prolactin levels or polycystic ovaries can present with such a picture.
Stress, anxiety, rapid fluctuations in weight, travelling, emotional trauma - all can cause such bleeding.
Being on hormonal medications could be a cause.
You need to consult your gynecologist for exact diagnosis, as just by reading the description, I can only list the possibilities.
