Tried Doxycycline, Clindamycin To Treat Pimples, Have Side Effects. Any Alternative Medication ?

How can I get rid of my acnes? I am already taking Doxycycline and using clindamycin solution and an adapalene gel for treating my pimples but I stopped using the Doxycycline since it has a side effect on me. I'm having a watery diarrhea everytime I'm taking it. Can you suggest any alternative medication to treat my pimples?

Hello,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
It appears from your query that you are quite stressed regarding your pimples. The most important thing to mention about pimples is that these are youth related problem and is not a disease in itself. It is the influence of simple chemical in our body known as hormones due to which these appear at teenage. The particular hormone is testosterone. As we can not change our hormones so we can not stop the occurrence of pimples too. But this does not mean that there is no treatment for pimples. What we have to do is to understand the above basic fact and then take a regular treatment from one particular dermatologist. It takes ling time to get improvement and sometimes we have to change one line of treatment to other. There are many good medicines available both to apply and to eat but under medical guidance only.
I request to follow one good dermatologist with patience. Do no try to squeeze, pinch or pop the areas. Also try to avoid direct sunlight and any oily or creamy application on the affected area.
Hope it helps.
with good health wishes,
